Placed in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Ankogel and the Moelltaler Glacier have the highest snow guarantee in Carinthia  - there is guaranteed snow from December until April.

With no annoying queues! The cablecar reaches a height of exactly 2630 meteres at two points. The middle station is situated at around 2000 meters above sea level.
In the last few years everything has been overhauled, new T-bar lifts have been installed to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.

The Ankogel is a border mountain between the north and the south. It receives snow flurries from both sides of the Tauernhauptkammes and with the addition of the snow cannons it provides the longest snow guaranteed descent in Carinthia! The both gentle and demanding slopes above the tree line make it possible to enjoy the pleasurable dance over the glistening white snow.

Attractive family reductions are available during the whole season. There are also special offers for the Weekends, Carnival season and Easter.

Through it’s very high situation and climate, the Moelltaler Glacier has 100% snow guarantee, from October until Easter! That is unique for the Alps.

While others are enjoying themselves visiting the Carinthian Lakes, winter sports fans can still enjoy the opportunities that the Glacier has to offer. With it’s 13 kilometres of Cross Country Ski tracks at 2600m above sea level, the Glacier Fun Park with it’s Half Pipe and Boardercross and 50 kilometres of slopes to enjoy in every difficulty level, makes it a one-off “Experience 3000”.

The Glacier Express brings you up to 2200m in record time. You then travel with the Eisseebahn which is a 6-seater Cablecar and the Glacier Jet which is a 6-seater Chair Lift until you come up to an altitude of 3122m. There you stand at the open door of the Hohe Tauern and everything that it has to offer.

The “Glaspalast” offers seating for 850 guests and it also has a self-service area. It opened it’s doors in 2002 and since then our guests have been enjoying our modern and up to date restaurant. On our fully glazed terrace you can enjoy the beautiful views looking up towards the ‘Sonnblick’ mountain, and on our open terrace, you can experience some of the most breathtaking views which stretch out over the highest mountains in Austria. Spoil yourself with the local delicacies whilst relaxing and having a rest.
